For the construction of the pipe pot, outlined in the drawing, boxwood wood was used, as it has relevant characteristics, in terms of its hardness and smell when burned, essential for the function of this piece.
Execution
For execution, 40 and 80 grit sandpaper were used to remove excess material and 120 grit sandpaper to prepare the model for finishing.
The mouthpiece is made up of two pieces of beech wood, where a depression was dug inside to create a channel for the smoke to pass through, and they were then glued together.
These pieces were placed in a curved press so that the mouthpiece acquired the desired curvature.
